FreeGen / Terms
Free to use, with no promises attached.
FreeGen is a set of free tools that run open models inside your browser. There is no account, no payment, and nothing to sign up for.
What you get
You may use the studios for anything, including commercial work. Every model offered here is under a licence that permits commercial use, and each licence is named next to the model before you download it. Those licences are between you and the people who published the model.
Whatever you generate is yours as far as we are concerned. We never receive it, so we could not claim it even if we wanted to.
What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Models run on your hardware, and whether they run at all depends on your browser, your GPU and how much memory you have. Downloads are large. Output from a generative model can be wrong, offensive, or unsuitable for your purpose, and you are responsible for checking it before you rely on it.
We may change, break or withdraw any studio at any time. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site.
Fair use of the downloads
Model weights are served from Hugging Face and cached by your browser after the first use. Please do not script the site to re-download them in bulk. If you want the weights directly, take them from the repository, which is what it is there for.
Privacy
Your prompts, audio and images stay on your machine. The privacy notice sets out exactly what does and does not leave your device.
These terms describe how the site actually works. They have not been through legal review.
